Interpret and record data, conduct analyses, compare findings to relevant studies and local, provincial, and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
Workload and supervision structure will be intended to support the pursuit of a P.Geo and/or P.Eng designation
Perform hydrogeological and environmental field tasks, efficiently and accurately, using standard methods, procedures, and techniques.
Office work will require about 50% of the candidates time and will include data entry and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data as it relates to meeting provincial and federal environmental requirements.
Collect and enter data and apply technical principles and theories to critically review collected datasets.
Prepare report sections to that document methodology of data collection, analysis, and recommendations to address the challenges of a wide variety of clients.
Analysis and interpretation of geological and hydrogeological data collected during field investigations as well as available through existing resource. Use of such interpretation in hydrogeological predictions and design.
Be part of a project team, which includes attending meetings, performing data analysis, and reporting.
Utilize basic scientific principles, theories, practices, and existing technologies to develop solutions for technical field-based issues and challenges .
This could include drilling site supervision, soil and bedrock logging, soil and water quality sample collection, pumping test supervision, single well response testing, completion of private water well surveys, construction monitoring, etc.
Complete data collection tasks, field planning and site management, and preparing Health and Safety documentation.

Work both in the field and in the office. Candidate will be in the field at least 50% of the time and will gather data using advanced technology and applications. The distribution of field and office time often varies over the year. Staff must have access to a personal vehicle for travel to local sites.
Bachelor of Science or Engineering Degree in a relevant technical discipline, including but not limited to Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental science, or Environmental Science/Engineering (with a focus on Geology or Subsurface characterization).

The work may require candidate to be in various on-site locations, both urban (ex. industrial complex) to rural (ex. greenfield). Travel to remote project sites requiring overnight stay will be required, at times.
