The Manager, Transportation is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the transportation department to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and compliant movement of goods. This role involves strategic planning, team leadership, carrier management, routing optimization, and ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
- Develop and standardize transportation planner processes in line with operational requirements.
- Manage quarterly business reviews with high volume Lennox Residential carriers to review performance and develop long-term partnerships.
- Support sales, Supply chain and Distribution with transportation operations.
- Develop and execute short and long-term transportation strategic initiatives throughout the network.
- Promote and progress annual freight cost reduction initiatives.
- Provide requirements, enhancements and performance guidance to process and technology team relating to transportation management systems and applications.
- Optimize shipping processes at all Lennox locations to ensure product continues to flow into the network efficiently.
- Manage a team of transportation analysts, transportation planners and 3rd party logistics resources.
- Provide private fleet locations with system guidance and analytics maximize utilization and performance.

- Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have effective written and oral communication skills. Must be able to provide leadership to subordinates.
- May require knowledge and understanding of the practical impact of import and export regulations in a wide range of countries.
- Deep knowledge of industry and regulatory trends.
- Requires effective negotiation skills.
- Must know how to use Transportation Management Systems to optimize transportation networks.
- Requires at least 8 years related experience.
- Knows principles and methods for transporting goods by any mode including the relative costs and benefits.
BenefitsCompensation: This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $87,000 - $109,000 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.
