The Caregiver works the night shift (10 pm – 6 am) and assists residents with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, hygiene, meals, and mobility while preserving dignity, safety, and confidentiality. Responsibilities include following care plans, documenting observations, responding to alerts, and encouraging resident participation in meaningful activities.
- Execute signature programs in dining, fitness, wellness, and care
- Respond promptly and kindly to resident needs, maintaining dignity, safety, and confidentiality
- Follow care plans to ensure proper resident care
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, hygiene, meals, and bowel/bladder functions
- Provide mealtime assistance, including selecting, serving, and clearing meals
- Transport residents safely, assisting with transfers and escorts
- Perform regular safety checks on residents
- Encourage residents to participate in daily activities such as bed making, laundry, and cleaning
- Lead residents in meaningful and life‑enriching activities
- Clean, complete laundry, and assist with community tasks as assigned
- Manage oxygen tanks and concentrators per physician orders
- Chart and document information, including incident reports, and report condition changes to supervisors
- Respond to resident alerts and emergencies using walkie‑talkies
- Ensure resident safety and comfort during fire or safety drills
- Encourage teamwork through open communication with coworkers and other departments
- Adhere to MBK policies regarding meal breaks and rest periods

- Display a positive and professional image in accordance with MBK core values
- Demonstrate effective time management to complete resident assignments each shift
- Show tact and friendliness when interacting with residents, families, and guests
- Age 18 or older with appropriate work authorization
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Nurse’s aide certification preferred
- Current first aid certification
- Required background clearances and health screening with negative TB test
- Prior caregiving experience preferred; on‑the‑job training available
- Ability to read, speak, and follow English directions
- Ability to interact effectively with people of diverse ages and backgrounds
- Must meet all state regulatory requirements
- Mobile and able to perform physical demands including kneeling, squatting, overhead reaching, and bending
- Able to lift 40+ pounds and push 150 pounds unassisted
