Testing transformers, including Power Factor and TTR.
Serve as a technical leader in testing/maintenance/repair of breakers, transformers, switchgear, motor control and associated equipment
Perform regular field work both indoors and outdoors
Provide technical capabilities for testing relays, circuit breakers, transformers, motor control equipment, and related switchgear in the field.
Completing mechanical work and repairs on breakers and switches, including tear down, refurbishment and parts replacement.
Wiring circuit breakers.
Provide instruction and mentorship in training for junior level technicians
Utilizing and accurately reading test equipment.
Troubleshooting circuit breaker controls.
Provides proper preparation and documentation for site projects

Valid Driver’s license and good driving record
Education: High School Diploma
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a Switchgear/High Voltage Technician. Proficiency with high voltage test equipment as well as knowledge of low and medium voltage test equipment.
Accurately and consistently documenting using Power DB.
Certifications & Licenses: NETA 2 preferred
Ability to communicate effectively in English (inclusive of reading and writing) due to the nature of safety-related materials, documentation, and interactions with clients.
Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form; deal with problems involving several concrete variables.
Ability to read company manuals and reports, workplace rules and procedures; speak with poise and confidence, using correct English.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plain and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions of practical situations.
Able to work with electrical tools and socket sets.
Reading and plotting time-current curves.
Reading schematics and wiring drawings.
