Accompany and support Colliers International Real Estate Agents as required, with client interactions (joint calls) and relationship building.
Meet frequently with clients and prospects and apply relationship selling and relationship expansion strategy and performance to current and potential Real Estate clients, ensuring comprehensive, holistic financial solutions.
Understand and adhere to credit granting policies relative to quality and verification of information, analysis, profitability, and credit recommendations, executing sale of credit and services to Real Estate clients and prospects as defined.
Monitor market trends, pricing, and activity and provide robust communication around asset class relative value and opportunities across the broad investment team
Screen and review prospective commercial mortgage loan investments
Leverage technology and profitability tools to identify & refer sales opportunities, ensuring optimal effectiveness
Work with lending partners to originate a wide variety of commercial real estate loans across Canada focused on making first and second mortgage loans as well as construction, bridge and subordinate debt financings to real estate developers, builders, and owners. Act as subject matter expert providing market, industry, and pipeline information as appropriate.
For new prospects, review and analyze financial statements, cash flow and working capital position, business plans, goals and objectives etc. developing suggestions and alternatives that meet or exceed the client’s objectives. Prepare proposals, undertake negotiations with prospects, and oversee external lenders negotiations relative to the sale of real estate product and services.

Intermediate to advanced Excel including proficiency with pivot tables, PowerPoint, and Word
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Understanding of discounted cash flow modeling, real estate fundamentals and capital structures
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
Flexibility and adaptability at handling multiple priorities and initiatives
Experience as a mortgage originator
Ability to work both independently and as a team member
