Senior Quantity Surveyor

Description

• Identify, measure, and price variations in line with change control processes
• Ensure contract, cost, quality, and time objectives are met
• Accurately measure works to maximise value recovery
• Maintain accuracy of commercial data within project management systems
• Monitor and support cost reporting, material buying, and plant spend tracking
• Deliver accurate and timely commercial reports and forecasts
• Manage main contract payment applications and ensure fair, timely subcontractor payments
• Support the overall project team in health, safety, and environmental responsibilities
• Provide commercial input into performance data and KPI reporting
• Ensure compliance with company commercial processes and procedures
• Supervise, mentor, and develop subordinate staff, supporting professional development and welfare
• Build strong working relationships with delivery managers and operations teams
• Provide commercial leadership and expertise to ensure contracts achieve profitability targets
• Manage subcontract accounts, including procurement, variations, payments, and final accounts

Requirements

• Knowledge of construction industry practices, contracts, and standards
• Proven ability to ensure compliance and achieve high-quality project delivery
• Good operational planning and time management, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong management skills with the ability to motivate colleagues and self
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to deliver accurate reporting and forecasting
• Ability to work collaboratively within a business unit or project team
