The Facility Assessment Manager will lead KA’s efforts in providing facility condition reports, project planning, accounting, business development, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. This role involves evaluating existing facilities, inspecting systems, creating maintenance reports, estimating costs, supporting master planning, and maintaining client relationships while identifying new business opportunities.
- Conduct comprehensive facility condition evaluations and generate improvement plans.
- Inspect site, envelope, interior finishes, ADA, life safety, mechanical and electrical systems.
- Produce detailed maintenance reports for long‑term planning using specialized software.
- Estimate costs and prioritize repairs, replacements, and maintenance.
- Assist in facility master planning and budgeting to identify needs beyond repairs.
- Ensure project deadlines are met and assignments completed on time.
- Build and maintain client relationships, reviewing deliverables before distribution.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities for Facility Assessment services.
- Collaborate with Director of Facility Assessment to align opportunities with growth strategy.
- Develop strategic relationships and negotiate agreements with prospective customers.
- Support annual strategic plan development for Facility Assessments.
- Participate in proposal preparation and interview processes as needed.
- Communicate client and prospect opportunities to the Director.
- Deliver company‑wide Facility Assessment training and obtain relevant certifications.

Physical demands of the position include frequent sitting, standing, and talking, occasional lifting of up to 50 lb, and the ability to work on job sites, climb ladders, and navigate various terrain. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and employees must be able to climb, walk long periods, and maneuver on scaffolding and equipment.
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, construction management, building operations, engineering or related field.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of building systems, MEP and architectural components.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Business development skills to grow the Facility Assessment business.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and provide excellent customer service.
- Strong time‑management, efficiency, and compliance with company policies.
- Experience in architecture, construction management, building operations, or engineering.
- Membership in BOMA, IFMA, or ASHRAE professional organizations.
- Valid driver’s license with satisfactory motor vehicle record; comply with KA’s motor vehicle policy.
- Travel up to 25% of the time.

Salary ranges from $80,000 to $130,000 annually, plus an auto allowance and discretionary incentives.
