The Survey Technician partners with the Professional Land Surveyor on a diverse range of responsibilities to ensure the successful execution of land survey projects. The role requires the preparation of comprehensive survey documents, including detailed maps, plats, and precise boundary descriptions, utilizing industry‑standard software such as AutoCAD, Carlson Survey, and Civil 3D, alongside Microsoft Office Suite. The technician will maintain meticulous records of survey data and field notes, ensuring project documentation is organized and accessible, and will assist with daily field packages and manage field work schedules to optimize team efficiency while working closely with the manager.
Work will primarily be outside with varying environmental conditions and involve long‑term standing, frequent walking, and common site hazards. The role requires lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally, as well as standing or walking 8‑12 hours per day.
