Follow instructions from field supervision and project manager to install a variety of commercial doors - including metal, glass, wood, and automatic doors
Conduct routine maintenance checks to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
Make certain installations meet local building codes and ADA requirements.
Customize doors and hardware to fit specific dimensions and designs.
Communicate effectively with field supervision, project manager and others regarding the project status and requirements.
Ensure proper alignment, functionality, and security of installed doors.
Installation of Doors and Hardware
Maintain detailed records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Track time and materials as required for each installation project
Accurately measure and assess door openings and hardware requirements.
Attend training to learn new technology of building materials and installation methods as requested by the company.
Mount door frames, hinges, closers, panic hardware, locks, handles, and other hardware components according to specifications and building codes.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on site/in buildings.
Maintain all equipment in good working order and report any malfunctions to field supervisor
Replace worn-out or damaged parts such as hinges, locks, closers, and stripping.
Perform repairs on doors and hardware to ensure smooth and secure operation.
