The Housing Justice Policy Fellow will work directly with the Chief of Community Development & Policy to advance Builders of Hope CDC’s affordable housing policy platform, including the recommendations set forth in our Anti-Displacement Toolkit, and support our place-based Community Transformation Initiatives including our Housing and Homestead Preservation programs and grassroots Neighborhood Capacity-Building efforts.
This one-year fellowship offers the opportunity to join one of the premier affordable housing and community development organizations in North Texas and gain experience in advocating for and administering innovative and impactful policies and programs in underserved Dallas neighborhoods. The position is best suited for a recent graduate or early-career professional with a background or interest in public policy, community development, urban planning or related field. The fellowship program is designed to recruit and train the next generation of affordable housing and community development champions in Dallas.
Compensation: $58,000 annual salary, paid bi-monthly.
Term: This is a one-year fellowship with possible renewal for a second year. Schedule will be Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm, with occasional evenings and weekends.
