

Specializing in mechanical contracting, plumbing, and service for industrial, commercial, and residential projects.
Perform inspections from man lifts at elevations of 30 to 40 feet from ground level, as necessary.
Monitor and assure progress and completion of all assigned tasks.
Perform basic troubleshooting of fire alarm systems.
The primary function of this role is to perform NFPA based inspections of water-based fire systems and fire alarm systems. The Company goal is to continuously grow the revenues of Inspections while maintaining profits, satisfying customer’s requirements, and staying compliant with NFPA guidelines.
Complete and submit all work tickets and inspection reports to administrative personnel in a timely manner.
Perform annual inspections on both domestic and fire backflows.
Complying with all operating policies, procedures, executed Plans, and Programs is required.
Perform NFPA 72 based inspections on fire alarm systems, including all components of those systems.
Perform NFPA 10 based inspections on fire extinguishers.
Responsible for self-scheduling of daily inspections.
Perform NFPA 25 based inspections on wet, dry, deluge, pre-action, standpipe systems, fire hydrants, and fire pumps.
Perform basic troubleshooting of wet based fire systems and describe them to owners and service managers for repairs.
Up-sell Company capabilities to new and existing customers.
Building positive working relationships with multiple levels of employees and management is required.
Ability to follow-up on tasks and assignments in a timely manner is required.
Ability to perform basic business mathematical functions is required.
High School Diploma or GED is required.
Excellent organizational skills are required.
Experience utilizing a tablet, smart phone, and/or other technology is required.
Ability to think strategically, make sound decisions, and produce accurate and timely results is required.
Basic mechanical skills, including the ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues is required.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record is required.
Ability to obtain all required certifications, including NICET is required.
2+ years’ experience performing inspections is required.
Vocational or industry trade school is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills are required.
Ability to work with minimal supervision is required.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment is required.
NICET Level II in water based or fire alarm systems is a plus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to stand and walk. The employee is frequently required to talk, hear, climb, lift, pull/push, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach and use fingers to move and/or feel objects. The employee may be infrequently required to balance and crawl. The physical strength rating of this position is classified as very heavy work which entails possibly exerting 100 pounds of force, 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or an excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or an excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. This employee may be exposed to a wide range of environmental conditions including inside, outside, temperature extremes, fumes, odors, toxic conditions, dust, poor ventilation, humidity, loud noises, vibrations, and wet conditions. Arm, eye, feet, head, hearing, leg, respiratory, and skin protection may be required. Operation of a computer keyboard and telephone may be required. Operation of manual and/or power hand tools is required. Understanding of addition/subtraction, simple math, simple drawings, technical reports, technical instructions, layout work, legal documents, simple memos, and business letters is required. This employee will be required to travel to costumer locations by land or air.
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds is required.
Knowledge of NFPA 10, 25, and 72 is required.
This job requires the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced multi-tasked environment with a focus towards customer development and support, quality work performance, and an understanding of all the necessary NFPA codes that support each fire system. It will require travel to customer sites.
Working knowledge of the operational characteristics of the following Fire Protection Systems: wet, dry, foam, deluge, pre-action, standpipe, fire hydrants, and fire pumps is required.
Individual backflow license is a plus.
Basic experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) applications is required.
Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of employees, government agencies, customers, vendors and suppliers.
Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, and scissors/articulating lifts is required.
