The Restoration Monitor oversees and inspects restoration tasks, ensuring drying, demolition, and other activities are completed according to company standards. They prepare and review documentation, including notes, photos, and required forms, and explain job processes and next steps directly to customers. Additionally, they supervise assigned technicians to maintain safety and operational compliance throughout each active job.
Key duties include retrieving work orders, loading the appropriate equipment onto the service truck, and executing jobs in line with company processes and carrier standards while maintaining quality control. The role requires daily monitoring of active residential or commercial sites, communicating procedures to customers with printed guides, completing sketches and drying records via mobile software, and conducting final inspections to obtain customer approvals and request payments. The monitor may also train new technicians and ensure all safety protocols are followed.
Applicants must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record, and strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience with disaster restoration or construction, proficiency in mobile data entry, and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines are essential. Strong problem‑solving abilities, customer‑service orientation, and experience training or managing others are also required; certifications such as ASD, FSRT, OCT, or WRT are preferred but not mandatory.
The position demands physical capability to lift or move up to 70 pounds, stand or walk for extended periods, and perform squatting, crawling, and crouching tasks. Workers must be able to use respirators when required and adapt to varied indoor and outdoor environments, including temperature extremes.
