The supervisor manages performance of technical staff, assigning projects, mentoring, and ensuring quality standards, while also handling client relationships and seeking new opportunities. The position acts as the Transmission Engineering Manager when that manager is unavailable.
- Supervise technical staff in preparing utility engineering designs, cost estimates, and customer billing.
- Manage project schedules, assign daily tasks, and coordinate internal/external design reviews.
- Mentor and train staff on engineering principles, company policies, safety codes, and software tools.
- Provide guidance for professional communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Evaluate staff performance and support their professional development.
- Collaborate with department managers to develop and implement best‑practice policies and company initiatives.
- Act as Transmission Engineering Manager in the manager’s absence.
- Maintain client relationships and identify new business opportunities.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Civil/Structural Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program, active PE licensure, and at least 10 years of power transmission design experience. Candidates must possess advanced knowledge of overhead and underground transmission facilities, familiarity with NESC, ASCE, IEEE standards, and proficiency in PLS‑CADD, MFAD, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
- Require a Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural or Electrical Engineering (ABET‑accredited) and active PE licensure.
- Require at least 10 + years of power transmission design experience with expertise in overhead/underground facilities and industry standards (NESC, ASCE, IEEE).
- Proficient in PLS‑CADD, MFAD, AutoCAD, and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
