Hands on production using small hand tools and shop equipment.
Process audits along the production lines.
Brazes together components to assemble metal parts as specified by layout, work order, or blueprints, using hand torch: Aligns and clamps workpieces together, using rule, square, or template or sets up and places them in fixtures, jigs, or vise.
Brushes flux onto joint of workpiece or dips braze rod into flux to prevent oxidation of metal.
Guideās torch and rod along joint or seam of workpiece to heat to brazing temperature and melt braze alloy to bond workpieces together.
Write report with evidence for each unit and report findings.
Selects torch tip, flux, and brazing alloy from data charts or work order.
May braze together broken parts and cover holes to repair leaks.
Attend daily meeting to report findings MDI.
Review defective parts.
May melt and separate brazed joints, using hand torch, remove and straighten components, and rebraze joints to repair misaligned or damaged assemblies and be designated Brazer, Repair and Salvage.
Connects hoses from torch to regulator valves and cylinders of oxygen and specified fuel gas, acetylene or natural.
Assist with containment actions from customer warranty claims.
Examines seam and rebrazes defective joints.
Use measuring and testing devices as well as visual inspection to ensure the quality products and conformity to all prints, work instructions and Quality standards. Maintain required records including but not limited to quality checklists, inputs into specified electronic systems and reporting of all line issues into the appropriate data collection systems
Identify any nonconformance condition on the product.
Adhere to all procedures and properly prepare and maintain records, in either written or electronic form, regarding safety, quality, productivity, preventive maintenance.
Turns valves to start flow of gases, lights flame, and adjusts pressure and mixture of gases to obtain desired color and size of flame.
Enter nonconforming material (NCM) data into electronic system.
Cleans joints of workpieces, using wire brush or by dipping them into cleaning solution.

Complete classroom and DOJO training (copper to copper brazing, copper to brass brazing, copper to steel brazing and know the five stages of flux) Read, understand, and work from blueprints, schematics, bills of material
At least one year of brazing or welding experience.
Must have demonstrated creativity and solid problem-solving skills.
Must be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
3-5 years of brazing different cupper pipe sizes PP01, PP02 & PP03 a plus
Must have excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
High School Diploma or GED Required
Must be able to effectively build relationships with employees at all levels.
While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand; walk; bend, squat, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The team member may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, and process documentation.
Must be flexible and able to work all hours.
Must have working knowledge in the use of MS Office products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, and Outlook).
