Develop, implement, and maintain process improvement around the customer experience to increase Architectural Specialties value through service.
Train estimating team on current margin guidelines, product, or process changes.
Ensure team members communicate with customers daily to provide status updates as outlined in the Estimating Manual.
Responsible for implementing approved margin management guidelines and updating pricing models accordingly.
Collaborate closely with team members on targeted projects including supporting coordinators on submittal documents.
Attend In-house product training as provided by AWI AS Training School.

Submit monthly dash boarding reports on their team’s operational effectiveness.
Distribute daily RFQs from distributors and contractors to their team members.
Work with in-house resources to establish cost and price on custom items.
Coordinate weekly Estimating Team meeting to discuss best practices and lessons learned.
Shape best practices and mentor future leaders.
Collaborate across departments to drive project success.
Drive improved efficiency and effectiveness of the Estimating Department, with the cross functional effectiveness of the Project Managers and the CAD Department.

Proficient at decision making.
5+ years of relevant estimating work experience.
Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a challenging environment.
Prior supervisory experience or experience leading teams.
Understand manufacturing process, changes, and improves estimating pricing models in coordination with the Construction Services Manager.
Effective leadership and people skills; collaborator.
Basic knowledge of Salesforce CRM.
Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.
Well-developed computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office; extensive knowledge of MS Excel required.
Able to develop and deliver presentations.
Excellent communication skills.
Basic knowledge of estimating software.
Excellent organizational & time management skills.
In-depth experience managing multiple design projects from concept to delivery to include quoting, prototyping, purchasing, scheduling, production, and shipping.
