Procurement and Equipment Selection - Manage the selection and procurement of mechanical equipment (e.g., pumps, valves, tanks, pipework) and materials, ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and project specifications.
Mechanical Design Leadership - Take a leading role in the mechanical design and system integration for water and wastewater treatment projects. Oversee all stages of mechanical design, including site surveys, feasibility studies, detailed design, and tender pricing.
Subcontractor Management - Coordinate and manage subcontractors to ensure that their mechanical work aligns with project objectives, timelines, and quality standards. Ensure subcontractors meet contractual requirements and deliverables.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in project review meetings and incorporate lessons learned into future projects. Contribute to process improvements across the company, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of mechanical project delivery.

In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards in mechanical design and construction, particularly in water and wastewater sectors.

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Project is highly desirable.
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. Chartered Engineer status (or working towards) is preferred.
At least 3 years of proven experience as a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer in the water and wastewater industry. Strong commercial acumen and the ability to manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
Ability to collaborate with multiple disciplines (civil, electrical, process, etc.) and provide technical and commercial guidance in a multidisciplinary environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of resolving technical issues and managing project changes.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
