Ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed.
Conducting feasibility studies, business cases and writing procurement reports.
Ensuring that post contract cost variances and change control processes are managed effectively.
Providing line management and overseeing the recruitment.
End-to-end service delivery, ranging from large and complex commissions to lifecycle replacement programmes or estate rationalisations, ensuring that client objectives are met through the delivery of a value-added cost management service.
Managing the procurement process, ensuring that all stages including prequalification, enquiry, analysis, selection and contract preparation are performed effectively.
Being a key interface with client, stakeholders and other consultants, at all project stages.
Ensuring that cost checking and valuation work is managed effectively.
Managing estimating and cost planning activities to include taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan.
Ensuring the production of monthly post-contract cost reports and presenting them to the client.
Being in attendance at meetings and active participation.
Applying value management techniques at the outset of a project.

A bachelor’s degree and are a member of a relevant institute.
Experience in negotiating, influencing and communication skills to command professional respect at all levels.
Experience in delivering projects in a consultancy environment, are keen to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
Understanding hot topic issues such as sustainability, social value and carbon reduction and how these impact the public sector.
Digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead high performing teams within a commercial environment.
Good working knowledge of contracts, estimating, valuations, cost reporting and financial modelling.
Experience of leading on large projects or a capital programme of work within the healthcare sector.
