Tasks
You will be responsible for supporting the business in managing fraud control processes, including the prevention, detection and response to incidents reported by employees or external parties. Additionally, you will foster strong professional relationships with enforcement and regulatory agencies to ensure Western Power continues to uphold its reputation for integrity and compliance. -Coordinate and support fraud risk assessments across the business, determining the adequacy of internal controls to prevent and detect fraud and corruption and to assist in determining key risk exposures and areas for potential uplift. -Support functions in their awareness, understanding and application of internal controls to mitigate against fraudulent activities being undertaken by Western Power staff and/or its contractors, by undertaking specific training sessions and providing advice and guidance. -Manage, undertake and support investigations into allegations of fraud, corruption and misconduct by Western Power staff and/or its contractors. -Maintain visibility across the South-West Interconnected System (SWIS - Western Powers areas of operations) by visiting regional depots and fostering stakeholder relationships. -Coordinate Western Power’s reporting obligations under the Corruption, Crime and Misconduct Act 2003

This role is ideal for professionals from an array of backgrounds including legal, data analytics or law enforcement with demonstrable experience in investigations and a passion for upholding ethical standards. As an Integrity Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the application of Western Power’s Fraud and Corruption Standard helping to prevent, detect, respond and report fraud, corruption and other misconduct. -Certificate III Investigative Services or equivalent. -Demonstrated experience in investigation report writing with excellent attention to detail. -Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. -This role requires some regional travel -quarterly/every 2 months -An experienced professional with sound knowledge and experience of at least 5+ years in undertaking and completing investigations, ideally into alleged fraud, corruption, and misconduct, or similar relevant experience. -Ability to work independently and as part of a team. -Diploma in Government Investigations or equivalent. -Strong negotiation, influencing and conflict resolution skills at all levels. -Strong presentation and group speaking abilities. -Strong adaptability, as required for daily tasks and investigations. -Strong customer focus and ability to build both internal and external relationships and networks. -Ability to develop practical and innovative solutions to complex and sensitive problems. -Strong conceptual and analytical skills, with the ability to critically interpret data and information, draw meaningful insights, and communicate clear recommendations. -Diploma in Government Fraud Control or equivalent. -Qualifications in Government Investigations and/or relating to fraud control i.e;
