Work Program Facilitator

Description

The Work Program Facilitator plans assigned activities and provides instructional services to help inmates/residents learn and develop basic skills for successful re‑entry into the community. This person assists in identifying individuals for appropriate job placement and schedules classes or work programs in accordance with policy, procedures, and contractual requirements.

• Prepare work schedule and plan for assigned activities; submit schedule for supervisor review.
• Conduct classes and activities at designated times and locations, instructing inmates/residents by lecture and demonstration.
• Assist inmates individually and in groups with task assignments to reinforce learning concepts.
• Assign activities, evaluate performance and progress, record results, and issue progress reports as needed.
• Create a learning environment appropriate to inmates’ maturity and interests, aligning with the facility’s instructional philosophy.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• Prior experience in skills training, instructional delivery, or similar role preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Benefits
