Director, Business Development –Design-Build, AEC/EPC, F&B Industry

Description

• Aggressively identify, prospect, qualify, develop, and secure national business opportunities for all CRB services.
• Deliver compelling presentations of CRB’s value proposition to prospective clients.
• Advise internal pursuit teams on resource allocation for client engagements and project execution.
• Present and discuss emerging opportunities at the weekly Food + Beverage National Go‑No‑Go meeting.
• Represent CRB at corporate and regional Food + Beverage tradeshows, conferences, and sponsored events.
• Promote CRB through industry trade associations, peer groups, committees, councils, and board memberships.
• Serve on predetermined boards and committees to enhance brand awareness.
• Contribute to the annual Business Development plan, targeting sales, revenue, and client penetration for the region.
• Assist in preparing the annual Business Development expense budget for the Food + Beverage region.
• Maintain a deep network and proven track record within Food + Beverage, Ingredients, and Consumer Products sectors.

Requirements

The Director of Business Development – Food + Beverage serves as a strategic leader within CRB’s National Food + Beverage Region, responsible for identifying, qualifying, and securing new business across the company’s full portfolio of architecture, engineering, control systems integration, construction, and consulting services. The ideal candidate is a highly driven, well‑connected professional with deep industry knowledge and a proven ability to build and sustain client relationships. This hands‑on role thrives in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment and requires a nuanced understanding of AEC services in the Food + Beverage and Consumer Products sectors.

• Hold a bachelor’s degree (preferred) or 12‑15+ years of AEC business development experience.
• Understand market trends, pricing, and delivery methods such as Design‑Build, Design‑Assist, Design‑Bid‑Build, EPCM, and Construction Management.
• Demonstrate success in national account management and client development.
• Exhibit strong interpersonal, communication, and cross‑functional leadership skills.
• Show high initiative, organization, time‑management, and accountability.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with LinkedIn Navigator, Vision, and industrial information resources is a plus.

Position offers remote flexibility with up to approximately 70 % national travel to meet clients and attend industry events.
