- Reviewing and managing written document production.
- Manage challenging technical projects while leveraging your existing knowledge and experience to help Geosyntec expand its current practices and capabilities through business development and client management.
- Business development; including bringing in new clients and obtaining repeat business from existing clients, leading proposal preparation, and developing and implementing a business development plan within the infrastructure and waterfront development services.
- Preparing for and participating in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties.
- Work plan development, data evaluation, and technical report writing on a variety of contaminated sediment, remediation, and waterfront projects.
- Management and mentoring of early career and mid-career staff and managing subcontractors.
- Project and task management, including planning and implementing investigation and remediation projects, budgeting and budget management, adherence to schedule, quality, client satisfaction, and profitability.
- Collaborate and assist growth of Geosyntec’s Waterfront business across Geosyntec, with an emphasis on the Canadian markets.
- Lead proposal preparation for infrastructure and waterfront development services (including geotechnical and environmental).
- Preparing and/or implementing designs and strategies for sediment, and waterfront projects.

- Advanced degree in a related field of study. (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, environmental science or a similar field of study. (required)
- Demonstrated success in the development and management of clients. (required)
- Fieldwork and overnight travel may be required.
- Proven leadership skills. (required)
- Detailed understanding of applicable regulations. (required)
- Valid Canadian driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
- Professional certification (e.g. PMP / P.Eng / P.Geo). (desirable)
- Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.
- Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams. (required)
- At least 10 years (15+ preferred) of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required)
