- Collaborate with other ERM practitioners to execute project delivery tasks (including those listed above). ERM services broadly include environmental impact assessment, routing studies, land use planning, facility siting & permitting, and risk assessment and water resources management.
- Build strong collaborative relationships with clients to expand ERM’s profile and market share within the industry.
- Conduct detailed routing analysis and prepare summary routing reports for power projects.
- Prepare permit applications where required by federal, state, or local environmental regulatory authorities for energy development expansion, and maintenance projects.
- Participate in agency consultations, project meetings, and client communications.
- Develop plans and schedules and develop project management reports, such as monthly progress reports.
- Travel up to 20% of the time for agency meetings, project team meetings, or to conduct site visits.
- Manage and provide technical expertise on routing/siting and permitting for power projects for a variety of clients with complex needs.

- Working knowledge of key natural resource regulations including the Clean Water Act (Section 401/404 permitting), the Endangered Species Act (Section 7), and the National Historic Preservation Act (Section 106).
- Be familiar with United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and other state / local permitting requirements.
- Minimum of 6 years consulting or industry experience supporting power clients with routing/siting and permitting projects.
- Excellent writing, communication, collaboration, project management, strategic thinking, and “people” skills.
- Bachelor’s or master's degree in environmental science, Natural Resources or related discipline. Or equivalent relevant experience.
- Well-developed teambuilding and influencing skills; unquestioned integrity; and the experience, confidence, and stature to effectively address client and business needs and project challenges.
- Experience in reviewing Erosion and Sediment Control Plans, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans, National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Construction General Permits, and associated detailed construction drawings for accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to research and prepare concise and accurate technical documents.
