The Program Facilitator delivers a variety of group programs to both residential and non‑residential inmates or residents. They interview and assess prospective participants to identify individual and group needs, then implement a broad range of program activities.
They plan, conduct, and facilitate workshops and group activities, employing discussions, lectures, demonstrations, and audio‑visual aids to supplement the curriculum. The facilitator follows the standard curriculum and supervises all program activities.
The role includes coordinating admissions, evaluations, program completions, and terminations with other staff and departments while safeguarding the confidentiality of inmate/resident and administrative records.
Progress of assigned participants is regularly evaluated, and status reviews ensure programs are completed successfully.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, at least sixty college credit hours, and a valid driver’s license. Relevant program‑facilitation experience can substitute for education on a year‑for‑year basis, and experience with custody and control of inmates/residents is preferred. Candidates must be at least 18 years old.
