Install Journeyman

Description

• Lift moderate to heavy materials and equipment up to 80 pounds frequently
• Use design reference materials to establish site-specific layouts and develop installation strategies and procedures.
• Install channel letters, wall signs, pole signs, and pylon signs.
• Communicate effectively with customers, general contractors, and internal teams.
• Use hand tools for fabrication and assembly
• Perform accurate site surveys and troubleshoot non-working signs for service calls.
• Measure and mark guidelines to ensure safe and efficient installation.
• Work on their feet for long durations
• Follows all safety rules and regulations
• Review work orders, read blueprints, and identify necessary tools, materials, and equipment for installations.
• Lead and direct one or more installation crews as needed.
• Adhere strictly to all safety policies and procedures throughout preparation and installation.

Requirements

• No fear of heights or confined spaces
• Travel up to 50% of the time to job sites as required
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to install all types of signs (electrical and non-electrical)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Adaptability to changing priorities and fast-paced job sites
• Physically capable of walking, standing, bending and stooping, for extended periods
• Journeyman License (Required)
• Minimum 3 years of sign fabrication or service experience
• 3–5 years of professional sign installation experience
• Ability to work independently and lead a crew safely and efficiently
• Repelling License (Training available)
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• At least 3 years operating a reach truck or similar equipment
• Flexibility to work extended hours and in varying weather conditions
• Crane Certification
• Class A CDL (Highly Preferred)
• Proficient in using electrical and basic hand tools
