Lead traffic engineering projects, design, analysis, and staff guidance.
Manage traffic projects ranging in size and complexity and/or traffic tasks within larger projects.
Prepare outward facing documents that present clear and concise findings to a general audience.
Prepare technical reports
Manage or assist in managing staff plans, schedules, and budgets.
Develop or assist in the development of traffic signal designs, traffic studies, safety studies, signing and pavement marking designs, and maintenance of traffic plans.
Work within the standards and guidance of clients, both in the public and private sectors.
Review work prepared by others including studies, traffic analysis, and design.

Familiarity with traffic analysis software such as HCS or Synchro
ave a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification is a plus.
Able to work across disciplines both within transportation (roads, structures, etc.) as well as outside of transportation (private development, municipal development, etc.).
Must have experience in traffic studies, signal timing, signal and pavement marking plans, maintenance of traffic plans, ITS experience, lighting design and/or other traffic engineering related experience.
Must have a BA in Civil Engineering or related field
Ability to lead traffic projects or tasks, which includes breaking out work to other staff, maintaining budget and schedule, quality review and coordination both internal and external.
Ability to train less experienced staff is a plus, but this is not a personnel management role.
Must have a minimum of 8+ years of experience
Ability to work in Civil 3D or Microsoft ORD.
Have experience with traffic engineering projects in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky or Texas is a plus.
While the job does not require outward facing coordination, it is preferable that a candidate is comfortable speaking with clients and subconsultant.
Must have a PE and be able to obtain comity in Kentucky if applicable within 1 year.
