- Conduct pay calculations for new hires, changes and terminations.
- Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
- Perform payroll administrative tasks as required.
- Liaise with staff and management on payroll related inquiries.
- Prepare Records of Employment (ROE) using ROE Web.
- Prepare and reconcile year-end reporting.
- Prepare various correspondence, statistical summaries, and other material related to payroll function.
- Prepare and process weekly and bi-weekly hourly payroll.
- Prepare various month end reports.
- Assist management with internal and external audits.

- PCP designation and experience using an in-house payroll system are an asset
- Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities, capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment
- Ability to manage a large volume of work and can consistently meet deadlines while ensuring high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships with multiple groups
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Undergraduate degree or Diploma in Business, Accounting or a combination of equivalent skills and experience
- A minimum of 2 years payroll experience processing the full payroll cycle
- Excellent communications skills, customer service oriented and a team player
- Efficient with Excel, have data processing skills and can effectively deal with confidential information
- Strong written and oral communication skills
