Overview
Maintain and repair commercial standby generators for Southern California clients.

Tasks
-Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams -Maintain accurate records of all inspections, maintenance, and repair work performed -Ensure all work complies with EPA emissions, OSHA, and NFPA standards -Handle compressed natural gas systems safely and in accordance with regulations -Respond to emergency service calls for breakdowns or no-start conditions -Verify remote monitoring systems and alarms function correctly -Calibrate and test generator control panels, automatic transfer switches (ATS), and voltage regulators -Educate end users on proper generator operation and basic maintenance procedures -Communicate effectively with management, team members, and clients to ensure clear understanding of service needs and solutions -Visually inspect and diagnose issues with natural gas and/or gasoline-powered standby commercial generators -Repair or replace faulty components: sensors, alternators, ignition systems, regulators, and etcetera -Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, coolant changes, filter replacements, battery replacements, and servicing of belts, spark plugs, and other mechanical components -Follow lockout/tagout and confined-space procedures -Provide service and repair recommendations to maintain equipment in optimal working condition -Operate a company vehicle and complete fleet maintenance reports as required -Use multimeters, oscilloscopes, and diagnostic software to identify issues -Adjust carburetors, ignition timing, and governor systems for optimal performance

What You Bring
-Minimum of three years of recent experience performing commercial generator maintenance -Willingness to commute to various job sites using company vehicles within Orange County, Los Angeles County, and/or the Inland Empire -Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and motor vehicle background check -Program PLC or microprocessor-based controls when applicable -Basic understanding of NFPA 70E, OSHA regulations, and general electrical safety practices -Must possess personal hand tools required to perform mechanical work and voltage testing -Demonstrate knowledge and experience with CAT, Cummins, Generac, Kohler, or Detroit Diesel generator systems -Proficient English communication skills, both written and verbal, for preparing reports and emails -Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
