Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, the Strategic Buyer will manage purchase orders, vendor relationships, inventory monitoring, and procurement documentation for all soft and hard goods needed for product design, manufacture, delivery, and installation, while acting as a liaison to resolve supplier and internal department issues.
- Communicate and build relationships with vendors, management, and staff.
- Manage purchase orders, track due dates, and resolve related issues.
- Liaise between suppliers and internal departments to solve procurement problems.
- Analyze material take‑offs and obtain comparative pricing.
- Negotiate contracts and request quotes from vendors.
- Monitor inventory levels for manufacturing needs.
- Create and manage blanket purchase orders.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies with Accounting and approve invoices.
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Director, Supply Chain.
- Bi‑annual performance reviews with ongoing feedback.

The role is on‑site and may require wearing personal protective equipment, occasional travel to supplier locations, and flexibility to work overtime; candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada and able to commute daily to the office.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business or Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum of 3 + years experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain/inventory.
- ERP experience considered an asset.
- Ability to work on‑site, wear PPE, and travel to supplier locations as needed.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada and able to commute daily to the office.
