Our federal government client, the Department of Home Affairs (HA) is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to implement, manage and retire the VMWare virtualisation infrastructure (including physical, virtual, networking and vessel infrastructure) that supports digital platform services.

5) Security and Compliance – Solid understanding of security controls, compliance requirements, and operational practices in classified or government environments.

1) VMware Infrastructure Expertise – Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing VMware environments (vSphere, ESXi, Horizon, vCenter) across complex networks, with VMware certification preferred.

6) Leadership and Collaboration – Proven ability to mentor others, work collaboratively across teams, and manage competing priorities in project and BAU contexts.

2) Systems Design and Documentation – Strong capability in developing technical designs, as-built documentation, SOPs, and risk management plans aligned with enterprise and security standards.
