The position is for a Pipe Fitter in Hopewell, VA, responsible for layout, fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems, structural steel, vessels, pumps, and related equipment within an industrial environment.
Key duties include laying out, fitting, and fabricating metal components for structural forms in steam boiler settings, using hand‑welding or flame‑cutting equipment to join stainless‑steel and carbon‑steel parts, and taking independent measurements while operating power tools.
Candidates must have at least three years of pipefitting experience in industrial construction, demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, maintain excellent attendance, and be able to pass a required drug screen.
Physical requirements include the ability to complete hiring paperwork electronically via DocuSign, lift and carry items up to 50 pounds, work in confined or uneven spaces, climb ladders, and possess the necessary hearing, visual acuity, and range of motion, with steel‑toe shoes required at all times.
