The Senior Technical Coordinator role is based on site at Tite Street, Chelsea, with occasional travel to the Uxbridge head office. The post holder will oversee the technical and managerial aspects of construction projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements while upholding safety, quality and sustainability standards.
- Review and approve technical designs, specifications and construction methods.
- Ensure construction activities meet industry standards, codes and regulations.
- Provide technical guidance to the construction team and implement best practices.
- Recommend appointment of consultants.
- Control design process from planning application through project completion.
- Ensure consultants deliver detailed designs aligned with employer requirements and contractor proposals.
- Manage design development, incorporating value engineering and buildability.
- Deliver timely technical assessments, BREEAM information, warranties and certificates.
- Develop and implement project plans, schedules and budgets.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers and subcontractors to meet project requirements.
- Monitor project progress and ensure quality assurance.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, schedules and reports.
- Review design development to ensure safe construction practices and compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
- Act as primary contact for clients, architects, engineers, construction teams, contractors and regulatory bodies.
- Oversee compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and maintain robust quality control procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Promote and implement sustainable construction practices and innovation.
- Coordinate production of working drawings, details and specifications from external consultants.
- Interface regularly with internal teams, contractors, consultants, local authorities and industry bodies.

- Experience as a Senior Technical Coordinator or Technical Manager delivering designs on time, within budget and to quality standards.
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of building regulations, industry standards and best‑practice products.
- Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and modern construction techniques, including high‑rise concrete frames.
- Proven ability to read and interpret drawings and technical specifications accurately.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all organisational levels.
- Self‑motivated, able to work calmly under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong planning, organising and prioritisation abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and project management tools.
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g., RICS, RIBA, CIOB) or minimum Level 4 (HNC/NVQ4) equivalent experience.
