You will work with minimal supervision, referring up as necessary. In achieving this you will be responsible for meeting deadlines, monitoring budgets and resourcing and controlling expenditure to meet financial targets in your own area;
You will design across project lifecycle from Master Plan and Feasibility Stages through Concept, Preliminary and Detailed Design and provide support to projects in construction;
You will be expected to support the growth of the Energy Water and Resources Infrastructure Capability in Singapore
You will represent Arup at internal and external events and you may be responsible for designing and delivering events, activities and projects which impact the business;
You will be responsible for executing responsibilities as outlined in Arup’s Quality Management System
You may contribute to the development plan of Arup;
Your work will involve in the leadership of small and medium sized projects, as well as being a key member of larger project groups. This will include design, technical documentation, input to cost estimates, tender submissions, project scheduling and meeting deadlines and budgets. You will work on a variety of Coastal, Energy, Water, Land Development, Aviation, Rail and Industrial projects;
You will be responsible for the development, design and management of large, complex, longterm projects. This will involve coordinating people, facilities, resources etc, within tight timelines and in line with budgetary constraints (includes reviewing technical standards to ensure that design techniques, reference material and software tools are uptodate and are correctly applied);
You will be responsible for your own performance and assist in the development of others through providing guidance, training, direction and feedback;

Membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership;
Ability to maintain personal effectiveness particularly during periods of higher than normal workload;
Experience in the operation of software design tools such as 12D, Bentley Systems, Infoworks, Civil3D or AutoCAD or similar. In addition, experience using hydraulic modelling packages would be an advantage;
Ability to remain positively motivated and foster team spirit at times of significant pressure, including assisting others to meet deadlines;
Knowledge and experience of Major Infrastructure Projects including major urban developments coastal, aviation and rail projects is beneficial;
Strong interpersonal skills;
Effective written communication and report writing skills;
Relevant industry experience in Civil or Environmental Engineering with an experience in Surface Water Management and Integrated WaterManagement works is preferable;
Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil or Environmental Engineering;
A minimum of 4 years’ experience delivering projects covering a range of preconcept design to site phase for a range of clients including Local Government Authorities and/or Private Developers;
Proven working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines – and related procedures including OH&S.
Ability to communicate with people at all levels in both technical and nontechnical environments;
Emphasis on design experience for Flood Mitigation / Adaptation, drainage design, WSUD and Utilities design within a consulting business environment;
