Cloud Network Engineer

Description

The Cloud Network Engineer will lead delivery of network architecture and segmentation solutions for global clients, ensuring high quality and customer satisfaction across on‑prem and cloud environments.

Key duties include designing, implementing, and supporting micro‑segmentation policies using Illumio or Guardicore, managing Palo Alto firewalls in Azure and AWS, and establishing secure site‑to‑site VPNs and SD‑WAN connections.

• Design and deploy micro‑segmentation policies with Illumio Core/Cloud or Guardicore, including application dependency mapping and rule‑set creation.
• Implement, configure, and manage Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama in Azure and AWS environments.
• Establish and maintain secure site‑to‑site VPNs, SD‑WAN paths, and zero‑trust network segmentation across hybrid workloads.
• Optimize network security devices for capacity, availability, and scalability; monitor health and performance globally.
• Automate firewall and segmentation tasks using Ansible, Terraform, and Python scripts.
• Collaborate with security, cloud, data‑center, and application teams to resolve incidents and ensure alignment with architecture standards.
• Provide 24 × 7 on‑call support for complex network and segmentation issues and participate in disaster‑recovery exercises.

Requirements

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a technical field and at least five years of network architecture experience, with eight+ years of hands‑on networking and security support preferred. Candidates must be able to participate in a 24 × 7 on‑call rotation.

Required technical skills encompass Palo Alto firewalls (including Panorama), Illumio/Guardicore platforms, AWS and Azure networking, Cisco hardware, and automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform and Python scripting.

Compensation ranges from $121,200 to $175,700 USD annually, with benefits including 401(k) matching, medical/dental/vision coverage, paid parental leave, PTO, and early wage access through Daily Pay.
