What you would be doing

- Ensure that all statutory rail safety risk requirements are complied with.
- Facilitate rail safety risk reviews to identify trends, risks and promote communication and awareness of the key risks.
- Advise and assist Line Managers and subcontractors in the project Policies and Procedures.
- Maintain records and documents in accordance with SSTOM requirements.
- Maintain a calendar of Rail Safety Risk assessment workshops for the project, site and rail safety interfaces.
- Provide and update rail safety risk inputs to the Project Level 1 risk register.
- Establish and maintain strong positive relations with the construction teams to ensure engagement and support the identification and management of risk on the project.
- Produce rail safety risk reports as required in a timely manner to support the effective communication of risk status.
- Establishing rail safety risk mitigations and monitor their implementation, effectiveness and follow-up.
- Maintain productive relationships with the government representatives and other key stakeholders.
- Facilitate risk management audits including monitoring of evidence and closing out actions.
- Provide expert rail safety risk management advice and assistance to the Rail Safety and Construction Teams

- Tertiary qualification in safety, rail or another related field
- Rail Safety Worker medical (Category three minimum or able to obtain and maintain)
- Risk management qualification preferred.
