The National Market Sector Lead reports to the National Director of Business Development, partners with regional principals and security leads, and steers the growth of the Security & Defence market nationwide, targeting large‑scale infrastructure projects that support Arctic sovereignty and military readiness.
- Lead national and regional revenue and project development to meet financial growth targets.
- Oversee go/no‑go proposal decisions, net revenue forecasting, and backlog management.
- Develop and execute market positioning, win‑theme strategies, and sector growth plans.
- Represent A49 at industry conferences, produce thought‑leadership content, and build partner relationships.
- Maintain and expand client relationships while identifying new business opportunities.
- Conduct performance reviews, guide career development, and define succession plans for sector staff.
- Review operational metrics monthly, address KPI deviations, and ensure project quality and profitability.
- Lead major sector projects and manage contract negotiations, disputes and claims.
- Foster effective communication, strategic thinking, adaptability, and ethical decision‑making across the team.
