The maintenance technician role involves carrying out general repairs, investigating and rectifying faults, and completing scheduled maintenance to ensure asset reliability, directly protecting the environment and the communities we serve. You will work with a collaborative team and gain experience on assets such as electrical control panels, motor testing equipment, level control and instrumentation, inverters, and some small‑scale domestic work. Experience with mechanical control systems, telemetry, pumps, gearboxes and general mechanical/electrical plant maintenance is advantageous.
To be successful you must hold an NVQ Level 2 or 3 (mechanical/engineering) qualification or equivalent, have completed a relevant apprenticeship, and possess a full UK driving licence.

NVQ Level 3 candidates can earn a salary of approximately £47,500, with a starting salary of £41,337 plus a 15% shift allowance. NVQ Level 2 candidates are offered around £42,500, with a starting salary of £36,986 plus the same shift allowance. The role provides an on-site vehicle, tools, PPE, and is a permanent full‑time position (40.25 hours) on an extended 7‑day shift pattern based in Milton Keynes.
