Description

The Community Manager will oversee all business operations at one of our apartment communities. The successful candidate will possess strong resident‑relations and interpersonal skills, and will be able to communicate effectively, take charge, lead, train, be dependable, professional, and a team player.

• Supervise leasing and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with company policy.
• Analyze performance trends and develop monthly marketing plans.
• Train, motivate, and supervise on‑site staff, including orientation, evaluations, and time‑sheet approval.
• Provide excellent resident service and uphold high standards of customer care.
• Assist in budget preparation, monitor adherence, and complete month‑end and year‑end reporting.
• Explain monthly budget variances exceeding +/- 10% per line item.
• Ensure property operations comply with all applicable regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Candidates need three or more years of multi‑family property management experience, with two plus years in affordable housing preferred. Experience with programs such as PFC, AMI, Income Restricted, Senior 55+/62+, and with Onesite software is a plus. Strong leadership and management skills are essential, and a current, valid driver’s license is required.

The role may require extended periods of sitting at a desk, climbing stairs, reading documents and screens, hearing verbal communications, and occasional lifting of items up to 20 pounds. Work is primarily on‑site in an office setting, but may include outdoor tasks and exposure to bright lights, noise, and other distractions.
