The engineer will lead rapid “lift‑and‑shift” migrations of on‑premises infrastructure to AWS, then architect and implement modernization strategies that leverage cloud‑native services, automation, and FinOps principles. Collaboration with solution architects, design teams, and cross‑functional stakeholders will be essential to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant cloud environments.
- Lead rapid “lift‑and‑shift” migrations of physical and legacy infrastructure to AWS with minimal disruption.
- Develop and execute comprehensive migration plans, including assessment, planning, and implementation.
- Collaborate with solution architects and design teams to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant cloud solutions.
- Refactor, rearchitect, and automate workloads post‑migration to leverage AWS cloud‑native services.
- Build and maintain provisioning, monitoring, auditing, and de‑provisioning tools using Python, Ansible, and other automation technologies.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure using industry‑standard tools such as Jenkins and GitLab Runners.
- Apply FinOps principles to optimize AWS cost and operational efficiency.
- Mentor and lead junior engineers, fostering continuous learning and professional growth.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or AWS CDK for automated deployments.
- Employ configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Write automation scripts in Python, Bash/Shell, or PowerShell.

- Bring 10+ years of cloud engineering, DevOps, or systems administration experience focused on AWS.
- Demonstrate expertise in AWS security, network controls, and FedRAMP compliance requirements.
- Hold AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Associate certification and at least one AWS Specialty or Professional certification.
- Preferred: multiple AWS Specialty/Professional certifications, experience with public‑sector solutions, and proficiency with services such as S3, CloudFront, EKS, Lambda, Aurora Serverless, and AWS Batch.
