The Dietary Aide prepares and plates meals, provides dining and table service, and follows Phoenix Senior Living standards for food preparation. All food handling must comply with local, state, and federal regulations, maintaining strict sanitation and hygiene practices. The role includes preparing special‑dietary items as directed and using approved menus and standardized recipes to ensure timely service.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED; prior experience in dining hospitality or senior‑living environments is preferred. Essential skills include understanding infection‑control procedures, multitasking, stress management, and strong time‑management and organizational abilities. Effective verbal and written communication, good judgment, and problem‑solving capabilities are also required, along with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and peak service periods.
