Dietary Aide

Description

The Dietary Aide prepares and plates meals, provides dining and table service, and follows Phoenix Senior Living standards for food preparation. All food handling must comply with local, state, and federal regulations, maintaining strict sanitation and hygiene practices. The role includes preparing special‑dietary items as directed and using approved menus and standardized recipes to ensure timely service.

• Prepare and plate meals for residents and guests in accordance with Phoenix Senior Living standards.
• Follow all local, state, and federal food handling regulations and maintain sanitation.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and health standards in dining areas.
• Prepare special dietary meals as directed.
• Use approved menus and standardized recipes to ensure timely service.
• Apply infection control procedures and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Manage time, stress, and organizational tasks efficiently.
• Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and occasional peak service days.

Requirements

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED; prior experience in dining hospitality or senior‑living environments is preferred. Essential skills include understanding infection‑control procedures, multitasking, stress management, and strong time‑management and organizational abilities. Effective verbal and written communication, good judgment, and problem‑solving capabilities are also required, along with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and peak service periods.

• Hold a High School Diploma or GED; prior dining hospitality or senior living experience preferred.
• Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate good judgment, problem-solving, and decision‑making skills.
