  • Establish and enforce quality assurance protocols throughout the production process, from raw materials inspection to final product testing.
  • Develop and implement product inspection and testing procedures to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Monitor and report monthly key quality metrics. Analyze performance trends and customer feedback to determine the adequacy and effectiveness of the Quality Management System. Drive corrective actions and improvement plans.
  • Work with a team of Quality professionals. Provides guidance, support, and training to ensure a high-performing and cohesive team.
  • Drive the company's vision, mission, values and compliance with the Code of Business Conduct.
  • Foster a culture of quality consciousness and continuous improvement among the workforce.
  • Continuously assess and improve quality processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Ensure compliance with requirements from customers and industry standards (UL, CSA, etc.).
  • Support the successful implementation of new products or projects driving Advanced Product Quality Planning practices at the site (PPAP, Design/Process FMEA, MSA, Control Plans, Statistical Process Control, Standard Work Instructions).
  • Generate and implement Engineering Change Notices, enhancing product quality and reducing product cost.
  • Analyze production data and implement corrective actions to address deviations from quality benchmarks.
  • Facilitate audits and inspections from regulatory and industry standard agencies.
  • Conduct training programs to educate employees on quality standards, processes, and tools.
  • Collaborate with procurement to assess and qualify suppliers based on quality metrics and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to set quality standards and specifications for new products or processes.
  • Review and update processes and manufacturing documentation of existing products due to process improvement and/or engineering design changes to ensure compliance to QMS.
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions to address quality issues in the supply chain.
  • Develop processes and manufacturing documentation for new products.
  • Implement, maintain, and improve a robust quality management system (QMS) in line with industry standards (ISO, Six Sigma, etc.) and in alignment with Southwire’s policies.
  • Lead or facilitate root cause analysis and problem-solving initiatives to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Develop and implement strategic Quality goals and initiatives in alignment with the business objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and enhance product quality.
  • Drive and maintain a safe working environment through diligence in accident prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance, and policy enforcement and compliance.

  • ASQ, CQE or CQM Certification.
  • 2+ year experience in management position.
  • Master’s degree or additional certifications preferred (e.g. Six Sigma Black Belt, ASQ).
  • 5+ years Quality functional experience.
  • Green or Black Belt Six Sigma Certification.
  • 5+ years experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management System compliance (e.g. ISO 9001).
  • Knowledge of electrical power products and systems.
  • Experience performing Quality System Internal Audits (ISO 9001).
  • Working knowledge of APQP methodology, including PPAP, FMEA, GR&R, Process Validation, and Control Plans.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
