- Perform inspections, tests, adjustments, and evaluations of low-voltage electronic components in accordance with manufacturer specifications and tolerances.
- Integrate building automation software with third-party systems via network connections and protocols.
- Commission BAS systems, verifying end-to-end functionality and resolving any anomalies.
- Contribute to the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members to build project execution capacity.
- Use technical manuals and documentation to calibrate electrical and electronic equipment as needed.
- Simulate sequences of operations to verify proper system parameters and optimize performance using the necessary software tools.
- Test, inspect, and troubleshoot low-voltage power equipment, network communications, peripherals, valves, actuators, relays, and sensors during project commissioning.
- Plan, develop, and lead junior team members, providing mentorship and technical guidance in support of the BAS Manager.
- Verify the installation and operation of electrical and electronic equipment related to the BAS throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide commissioning verification checklists to the Project Manager throughout the commissioning process to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Program and create graphics for HVAC equipment using BAS software, verifying system performance and functionality.
- Assist in preparing project specifications and reports by collecting and compiling data as requested by the Project or BAS Manager.

- Ability to work in a process driven environment.
- Minimum of 7+ years related experience.
- Networking certification.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with BAS system installations.
- Proven ability to effectively mentor and train employees.
- Superior time management and multi-tasking abilities.
- Certified in multiple Manufacturer Programming Software Tools.
- Extensive knowledge of multiple system integration strategies and applications.
- Extensive knowledge of network wiring standards and protocols.
- Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation.
- Certified in Tridium Niagara AX – N4.
- The ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong understanding of HVAC equipment & mechanical components and how it is related to control strategies and theories.
- Strong understanding of HVAC equipment/mechanical components and how they relate to control strategies and theories.
- Proven ability to self-learn, utilize and transfer to appropriate team members in an effort to enhance overall team awareness of existing and new technologies.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Technician, diploma Technologist diploma or Engineering degree in a related technological field to BAS.
