The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Enter confined spaces, such as boilers, for inspections.
Develop and review acceptance test plans; oversee testing and commissioning.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations to support capital planning and inform management.
Review and update system descriptions, P&IDs, and design documentation.
Participate in project planning, outage coordination, and construction activities.
Provide engineering support for steam generating stations.
Maintain clear and effective communication with internal teams and external partners.
Conduct system condition assessments to identify deficiencies, review equipment performance, and implement corrective actions.

Professional Engineer (PE) Preferred
Must be willing and able to travel throughout the company service territory and sites requiring support including steam and electric plants.

Working knowledge of high-pressure boiler operations and balance-of-plant equipment maintenance, required.
Must be willing and able to climb into steam structures and the ability to work and walk in all weather conditions.
Must be able to travel to company locations and wear the required PPE as needed.
Driver's License Required
Demonstrates strong personal accountability and adaptability to manage multiple priorities effectively, required.
Hands-on experience in electric and steam power plants, required.
Must be willing and able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needs arise.
Must be willing and able to participate in sequence engineering program (which includes working nights, weekends, and an on-call schedule).
Ability to be approved to wear and use either a full or half-face respirator, without facial hair or other conditions that may interfere with the seal, in accordance with OSHA regulations
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 8 years of engineering experience working on engineering related design and modification of industrial systems. or
Knowledge of boiler Burner Management Systems (BMS), preferred.
Knowledge of State and Federal regulations affecting steam plant operations and knowledge of industry codes and standards (i.e. ASME Boiler / Pressure Vessel code and B31.1, NBIC, NFPA 85, etc.) and process safety measures, preferred.
Master's Degree in Engineering and 6 years of engineering experience working on engineering related design and modification of industrial systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), required.
