Description

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the efficient operation of the materials warehouse supporting road maintenance services, including receiving, inspecting, labeling, and storing deliveries, maintaining cleanliness, conducting regular stock checks and inventories, and managing warehouse management software. The role also ensures timely reordering of supplies, safeguards compliance with safety regulations, continuously optimises warehouse processes, and coordinates with purchasing, planning, other departments and suppliers to keep the operational area equipped for scheduled services.

Through these activities, the manager contributes directly to safe, efficient, and sustainable road operations across Qatar’s strategic highways, fulfilling Egis’ contractual and operational obligations. The position therefore plays a key part in maintaining high standards of road safety and service reliability.

• Manage materials warehouse for road maintenance (O&M and Traffic Management)
• Receive, inspect, and store deliveries such as traffic cones, barriers, signs, lighting, tools, and spare parts
• Issue and return materials to employees and external service providers
• Conduct regular stock checks, inventories, and prepare annual inventory with finance
• Maintain warehouse management software and document all movements
• Ensure order, cleanliness, and safety in the warehouse area
• Coordinate timely reordering of materials with purchasing and scheduling
• Support optimisation of warehouse processes and procedures

Requirements

The role is a permanent contract within the Consulting and Operations business line, part of the OnM Operations service line in the Middle East and South Asia, and falls under the Services and Operations job family and OMI General Management profession. It requires vocational training in warehouse logistics or road maintenance and a strong knowledge of hazardous substances handling and local regulations.

• Hold completed vocational training in warehouse logistics or road maintenance
• Experience in warehouse management, preferably in the public sector or construction industry
• Proficient with warehouse management software and MS Office
• Demonstrate organisational reliability, initiative, and strong communication skills
• Physical resilience; able to work extra hours during peak seasons
• Ability to work effectively in a team
• Hold a light vehicle driving licence; heavy vehicle licence and forklift licence desirable
• Familiarity with Qatar traffic laws, Ashghal standards, and road safety guidelines
• Knowledge of hazardous substances handling, storage, and legal regulations
• Ability to read and use safety data sheets and implement appropriate PPE and emergency measures
