Construction Superintendent

Description

• Coordinate daily with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors to maintain effective communication and workflow.
• Monitor progress and perform regular inspections to ensure quality and compliance with OMH and DASNY standards.
• Oversee and manage all electrical construction activities from start to finish.
• Ensure all electrical installations meet local, state, and federal codes.
• Maintain accurate field reports, daily logs, and safety documentation.
• Construction to OMH anti-ligature standards.
• Lead and schedule crews to meet project milestones and deadlines.
• Installation of new fire alarm system and Emergency Responder Radio Communication System (ERCES).
• Review project documents, drawings, and specifications to identify any issues and recommend solutions.
• Supervise field operations, ensuring work is performed safely, on schedule, and according to specifications.

Requirements

This position requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently while fostering collaboration among project teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 4 years in a superintendent or supervisory role on projects valued over $10 million.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, NEC, and construction safety standards.
• 20+ automatic transfer switches (ATS)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical construction supervision on large-scale projects.
• Experience with public agency projects such as DASNY and OMH is highly desirable.
• New MDF and 11 IDF closets for teledata distribution.
• Three (3) 120kW generators (paralleling)
