Perform abatement oversight, air sampling and project monitoring.
Interact with engineers, architects, asbestos and lead abatement contractors.
Perform lead inspections
Prepare abatement daily logs, chain of custodies, photo logs and reports.
Perform asbestos and lead air sampling and project monitoring.
Provide on-site field inspection during Lead Disturbance Activity. (Disturbance activities include, but are not limited to, manual wet scrapping, power tool utilization, chemical stripping, rivet busting, concrete demolition etc.), (platform, mezzanine, stairs, etc.) as per the MTA NYCT contract spec 12L.
Perform asbestos and lead surveys and inspections.
Prepare survey reports, daily logs, chain of custodies, photo logs and abatement reports.

MTA - NYCT Experience
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and organizational capabilities.
2+ years of relevant asbestos and lead survey and monitoring experience with knowledge of NYSDOL asbestos regulations and OSHA lead standard.
SSPC C3 Lead Supervisor certification.
Strong quality assurance/quality control skills to perform technical, style and consistency reviews.
NYCT, LIRR, MNR, SIRTOA Track Training.
Demonstrates excellence and efficiency in writing, communication, data analysis, professional judgment, and knowledge of regulations.
New York State Driver’s License.
Self-sufficient, self-motivated and ability to work under pressure of deadlines is essential.
New York State agency, DASNY and NYCHA Experience a plus.
NYSDOL Asbestos Inspector, Air Sampling Technician and Project Monitor certification.
Flexible and able to be on-call for night work and weekend work.
