Property managers operate independently across multiple locations, spending time both inside and outside the facilities. Their duties include assessing customers’ storage needs, recommending and selling packing and moving supplies, performing daily unit inspections to confirm inventory and availability, auditing cash drawers, making bank deposits, and assisting customers with payments through reminder and collection calls.
Physical requirements involve the ability to lift or move items up to 35 pounds, walking around facilities for up to half of the workday, climbing stairs, and opening large doors. Managers also perform cleaning and routine maintenance tasks such as sweeping, mopping interior areas, and keeping exterior grounds clear of debris.
Candidates should have experience in customer‑service‑oriented sales environments such as retail, restaurants, or fast‑food operations. A valid driver’s license and personal vehicle are required for traveling between sites, with mileage reimbursement available.
