The role is responsible for programming a component, feature, or feature set. The incumbent works independently while contributing to the immediate team and other business teams, and also participates in design discussions.
In this position you will lead software development in a fast‑paced agile environment, collaborate with product line leaders to translate vision into actionable user stories, and drive efficiency, quality, and process improvements across the organization. You will also ensure clear communication of business direction and share knowledge with subject matter experts.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field is required, along with a minimum of five years of relevant experience. The degree should be from an accredited institution and demonstrate a solid foundation in software engineering principles.
The candidate must have deep expertise in C# (.NET Core) and experience building robust, scalable microservices using Docker, Kubernetes, and related container technologies. Proficiency with Apache Arrow, Apache Calcite, multiple database types, performance optimization, secure coding, multithreading, caching, and unit testing frameworks such as NUnit is also required. Familiarity with message queuing, event streaming, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools like Grafana and Prometheus is desired.
Business acumen is essential; the individual should proactively explore alternative technologies, dissect problems, and stay informed about competitors and industry trends. The role also requires the ability to evaluate the impact of technology decisions.
Strong leadership skills are expected, including ownership of tasks, mentoring teammates, and clear communication of issues and rationales. The leader must align work with organizational strategy, identify misalignments, and continually measure team performance against commitments.
Effective personal attributes include excellent oral and written communication, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to build and solve problems within a team. Persistence and the drive to achieve results, both individually and collectively, are vital.
