The role involves managing medium to high‑complexity projects, overseeing structural engineering tasks, monitoring scope and budget, guiding team members, preparing technical documentation, and collaborating with senior management and technical leaders to ensure safety and quality.
A Consultant is an individual that has diversified knowledge of engineering principles, business development and leadership abilities, and capable of taking full responsibility for organizing, executing, and coordinating project assignments. Project assignments may include 3D modeling, advanced analysis and design of various industrial building and non-building structures and nonstructural components. The company operates in a variety of industries including design and maintenance of civil infrastructure, nuclear power, healthcare, dams and waterways, transportation, defense, pressure vessels and piping, and mechanical and electrical equipment. The individual should have experience in working with stakeholders to understand issues faced and develop scopes of work for proposals.
Candidates must hold an MS in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical engineering from an ABET‑accredited university, possess at least seven years of relevant experience and a Professional Engineer license. They should be proficient in solid mechanics, steel and concrete design, seismic analysis, and advanced finite‑element software, and be familiar with codes such as IBC, ASCE, ACI, and AISC. Strong planning, communication, and the ability to review and improve engineering work are also essential.
Preferred candidates demonstrate a record of technical excellence, strong client relationships, leadership in industry committees, and public speaking experience.
The expected salary in Sacramento, CA ranges from $97,680 to $134,310 annually, commensurate with experience.
