Provide technical advice, training support and information to departmental managers, supervisors, staff and external contractors relating to electrical/mechanical systems and equipment.
Calibrate instrumentation including Weighing systems, Flow control, Level indicators etc.
Diagnose breakdown causes and repair efficiently and effectively to ensure minimum downtime is seen in production of goods.
Be proactive in business process improvement initiatives and be aware of equipment performance trends such as efficiency, quality and waste.
Respond to reactive/corrective maintenance requests in a timely manner to reduce the impact on plant/machinery downtime
Carry out frequency based Preventive Maintenance plans to site standards across all areas of the site and rectify any issues found.
Carry out effective 5S processes and housekeeping of Workshop, and Plant areas affected by all maintenance activities.

Previous experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
IPAF/FLT trained and certified
Good communications skills at all levels
Ability to work at height.
Preferable for Mechanically biased engineers to hold relevant ComPex Ex11 qualification
Ability to work to deadlines, under pressure and unsupervised.
ONC/HNC educated in an electrical or mechanical discipline.
Instrumentation Calibration experience (essential for electrical bias)
Carry out equipment installations as required to current organisational and regulatory standards and be involved in or familiar with any project plans for the installation of new equipment.
18th Edition IEE Wiring regulations trained and certified (essential for electrical bias)
The Maintenance Engineer MUST have a minimum Level 3 Mechanical qualification or NARIC approved.
Multi-skilled, however, mechanically biased with electrical knowledge is accepted.
Maintenance Engineer MUST have an engineering qualification.
