As a Lineworker, you will ensure the community receives a safe and reliable electricity supply by constructing and maintaining transmission and distribution networks. You will respond quickly to faults to minimise disruptions, delivering high-quality work while adapting to evolving industry standards. The role requires planning and executing tasks safely in varied conditions and maintaining positive customer interactions.
Ideal candidates hold a Certificate III in ESI – Power System Distribution Overhead (or New Zealand Electricity Supply Minimum Level 4), a valid WA ‘HR’ class driver’s licence, and demonstrated experience in constructing and maintaining distribution networks. Experience with HOU and LOU switching is highly regarded but not essential. These qualifications enable safe, reliable work on the network.
Remuneration follows the CEPU Agreement, offering an hourly base rate of $56.00 to $66.52 depending on qualifications and authorisations, plus a $2.50 per hour site allowance on all hours worked. An additional allowance is provided for staff on the Availability Roster as stipulated by the agreement.
